Leadership

 I am excited to serve at Bogart UMC. I have been a minister in the United Methodist church since 2007. I have served at Watkinsville UMC, Glade UMC and Burts UMC prior to coming to Bogart.

I attended Candler School of Theology at Emory University. As a part of my calling, I visited many homebound people who felt their church/God had abandoned them. One of my goals as a minister if to help people realize how much God loves them and will never leave them. I enjoy teaching the Bible with an emphasis on how the teachings apply to us in the world today. I have a heart for small churches making a difference in their community by showing the love of Christ in service to one another and the the world outside of the church.

I am a second career minister. My first career involved 20 + years of working in social services with mental health/addiction, developmental disabilities and aging services.

I grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and moved to Athens in 1984 to attend UGA. I loved Athens so I have remained. I enjoy UGA sports and the Atlanta Braves. I love my fur babies and sitting on my deck listening to the UGA band practice. I also love spending time in Florida with my family and the beach.
